What Are Chakras and How Are They Affecting Your Everyday Life?
Chakras are affecting every area of your life. They are the main energy centers of the body. A clogged chakra, is like a clogged drain – it doesn’t allow energy to flow freely. Clearing your chakras and balancing them together has a definite impact on helping you raise your energetic vibration.
So, what are these things called “chakras” anyway? Well, the word “chakra” is sometimes translated as spinning wheel or disk. And in eastern philosophies these are believed to be spinning wheels of energy that connect to our physical, emotional, and spiritual body. There are seven main chakras that are aligned down our body from the top of our head to the bottom of our spine. It is believed that blocked energy from one or more of these chakras can lead to illness and disease (both physical and emotional).
Here is a brief explanation of each of our seven chakras…
The first is called the “Root” chakra, and it is located at the base of the spine at the tailbone area. The root chakra is representative of our foundation (roots) and feelings of being grounded. Emotional issues that this chakra are associated with are feelings of well-being, pleasure, abundance, and sexuality. The color that is associated with the sacral chakra is orange.
The third chakra is called the “Solar Plexus” chakra, and it is located in the upper abdomen in the stomach area. The solar plexus chakra is representative of our ability to feel confident and in control of our lives. Emotional issues that this chakra are associated with are of self-confidence, self-worth and self-esteem. The color that is associated with the solar plexus chakra is yellow.
The fourth chakra is called the “Heart” chakra, and it is located in the center of the chest just above the heart. The heart chakra is representative of our ability to love. Emotional issues that this chakra are associated with are of love, joy and inner peace. The color that is associated with the heart chakra is green.
The fifth chakra is called the “Throat” chakra, and it is located at the throat. The throat chakra is representative of our ability to communicate. Emotional issues that this chakra are associated with are communication and self expression. The color that is associated with the throat chakra is blue.
The sixth chakra is called the “Third Eye” chakra, and it is located between the eyes at the brow line. The third eye chakra is representative of our ability to focus on and “see” the big picture. Emotional issues that this chakra are associated with our intuition, wisdom, imagination, and the ability to make decisions. The color that is associated with the third eye chakra is indigo.
The seventh chakra is called the “Crown” chakra and it is located at the very top of the head. The crown chakra is representative of our ability to be fully connected spiritually.
